A Fat Purple Fig

I had plans of writing about our flight. Gripping tales based around my love of aeroplane food, the horror that is trying to sleep whilst sitting up, and the even-greater horror of being sick whilst flying.

Instead, all I am capable of is posting this image of Eva sitting in our newly signed-for vehicle. I am about to drive it across Los Angeles, on the right (but oh-so-wrong) side of the road, after travelling for around 23 hours, and actually vomiting for the past three…or so.

This is not the most important thing about this image. That honour goes to the fact that Eva has agreed to be photographed during our holiday, provided it never shows her face.

The wonder of this will be enough to carry me to our new (temporary) home.
